On June 5, the Joint Venture between SCI E&C JSC and ECOBA Vietnam JSC continued winning the bid ‘Execution for Intake and cooling water pumping station (exclude the supply and foundation for precast concrete piles 500x500 mm)’ under Long Phu 1 TPP. The work of such package is expected to commence in the second half of June 2017.
Long Phu 1 TPP that invested by Vietnam National Oil & Gas Group and managed by Long Phu 1 Petroleum Power Project Management Board is equipped with the capacity of 1,200MW spreading in an area of 184 hectares in Long Phu Power Center. The project consists of 2 Units with capacity of 2x600MW which is under construction in Long Duc commune, Long Phu district, Soc Trang province. According to its tentative schedule, the Unit 1 will generate electricity in 2018, and that is 2019 for Unit 2.
Under the Contract, SCI E&C and ECOBA Vietnam were selected as contractors building construction items: “Intake and cooling water pumping station” with total value of nearly 300 billion Dong. As per the committed progress for package, the Joint Venture is responsible to finish the construction for the package in maximum 325 days.
Mr. Nguyen Chinh Dai - Director of SCI E&C JSC said: "We have now prepared sufficiently for manpower and material for the construction. The Joint Venture between SCI E&C JSC and ECOBA Vietnam JSC commit to execute the contractual item on schedule and in the meantime to ensure the safety, quality and visual of the project”.
In the coming time, SCI E&C will continue to expand and approach some other projects of hydropower, thermal power as well as develop transportation infrastructure projects and facilitate the cooperation with other partners/contractors to create opportunities of investment and development with other SCI’s subsidiaries so that it can generate new highlights in 2018.
