Governmental authorities of Nghe An Province visited and inspected Ca Nan hydropower plant 2

Recently, the leaders of Nghe An Provincial Department and Leaders of Ky Son District have had a trip to visit and inspect, and accept water retention test before the grid connection date of Ca Nan 2 Hydropower Plant.

The member of the inspection team are representatives of Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade, Nghe An Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Nghe An Department of Natural Resources and Environment and Leaders of Ky Son district. The inspection team worked with the Governing employer - SCI Joint Stock Company, Employer - SCI Nghe An Co., Ltd on many issues related to the conditions for reservoir water storage serving for x power generation of Ca Nan 2 project. In addition, the inspection team also checked the completion of ground clearance compensation in Na Ngoi Commune, Chieu Luu Commune, Huu Kiem Commune as well as inspected the booking records for taking over the construction at project.

 

Mr. Nguyễn Huy Cường, Deputy Director of Nghe An Department of Industry and Trade said, the Employer has completed the cleaning of reservoir to ela. 491m and put 17 milestones around the reservoir area.
As per the recommendation of the representative of Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Employer needs to plug landmarks to protect the dam, install cameras to monitor the flow rate and flood warning, make sure to maintain the environmental flow according to regulations in the process of water retention at the same time.
Leaders of Nghe An Provincial Authorities also appreciate the efforts of the Employer and the EPC Contractor. Ca Nan 2 Hydropower Project is the one with big volume of works, complicated terrain and difficult to execute, however, the Employer and the EPC Contractor have been still ensuring the progress and quality according to the approved design standards.
Ca Nan Hydropower Plant 2 is expected to connect to grid for generation by the end of May.
