Signing Ceremony of the EPC Contract for the Huong Phung 1 WPP Project between EVNGENCO2 and the SCI Consortium

On August 28, 2025, General Generation Corporation 2 - Joint Stock Company (EVNGENCO2) and the SCI Consortium (including of SCI E&C Joint Stock Company and SCI Consulting Joint Stock Company) officially signed the EPC Contract for the Package No. 11: Design, supply, transportation, storage, installation, testing, calibration, commissioning of electromechanical equipment, and technical services for the Huong Phung 1 Wind Power Plant in Quang Tri Province.

Representing the investor EVNGENCO2 in the EPC signing were Mr. Nguyen Le Hoang - Director of the Song Bung 2 Hydropower Project Management Board - The branch of EVNGENCO2 and the SCI Consortium was represented by Mr. Luu Minh Thanh - Director of SCI E&C Joint Stock Company (The Leading member of the consortium), and Mr. Pham Van Nghia - Director of SCI Consulting Joint Stock Company (The Second member of the consortium). The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Tran Phu Thai - Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Mr. Nguyen Huu Thinh - Member of the Board of Directors and General Director of EVNGENCO2; Mr. Nguyen Cong Hung - Chairman of the Board of Directors of SCI Joint Stock Company; and leaders of the relevant departments from EVNGENCO2, the Song Bung 2 Project Management Board, and SCI Group.

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Cong Hung - the representative of the SCI Consortium, affirmed that the Contractor will mobilize maximum resources - personnel, equipment, and technology - to meet the stringent requirements of the package while strictly adhering to technical standards, safety regulations, and environmental protection. “The SCI Consortium regards this not only merely as an EPC project but also as an opportunity to contribute to the nation’s sustainable energy transition,” the representative of the Contractor emphasized.

The SCI Consortium excels in consulting, design, and construction. With capabilities in self-investment and turnkey contracting, SCI has participated in numerous large-scale projects nationwide and in neighboring Laos, particularly in the clean energy sector. Close coordination between the two member companies enables the consortium to comprehensively control quality, schedule, and investment efficiency, delivering sustainable and reliable infrastructure.

Upon completion, the Huong Phung 1 Wind Power Plant will supplement clean energy to the national grid and play a vital role in advancing the country’s sustainable energy transition goals, while also fostering socio-economic development in the Central region.
