Since our establishment, SCI Joint Stock Company has always considered building sustainable values as a guideline in our operation and development strategy. After 19 years, SCI is proud to be one of the leading enterprises in the field of investment, engineering, and construction of energy and infrastructure with many projects being attractive and highly recognized.
Established since 19/08/2003, SCI Joint Stock Company (SCI JSC) was formerly known as the Factory of Mechanical Construction and Installation belong to Song Da 9 Company under Song Da Corporation. Until present, SCI Group is expanded our business with 5 subsidiaries and more than 900 employees working thereof, in which SCI Joint Stock Company is the parent company and the other 5 subsidiaries include SCI E&C JSC - operating in construction and installation, SCI PMC JSC - operating in engineering consultancy services supply, and SCI Nghe An JSC & SCI Lai Chau JSC - operating in the field of investment in hydropower and renewable energy projects.
At the beginning, SCI JSC is registered with a small amount of charter capital at 3 billion Vietnamese Dong (VND). After 19 years of development, SCI JSC has increased our charter capital to more than 524 billion VND. The most obvious highlight in the development of SCI is recorded in 2021 when we have achieved the revenue of more than 6,451 billion VND in which the profit before tax is recorded as 211 billion VND.
The resources of human and finance which have been growing up time to time has assisted SCI to carry the faith of many project developers which giving us the chance to participate in the construction of many large scale projects such as Son La Hydropower Plant, Lai Chau Hydropower Plant, Long Phu 1 Thermal Power Plant, Nam Theun 1 Hydropower Plant, Gelex Ninh Thuan Solar Power Farm or Nam Sam 3 Hydropower Plant Project (in Laos). In the year of 2019, SCI is widely known as the EPC Contractor for a group of wind farm projects named Gelex 1, Gelex 2, Gelex 3, Huong Phung 2, Huong Phung 3, Huong Linh 7, and Huong Linh 8 in Quang Tri.
With the expansion strategy, SCI boldly stepped into the role of the project developer of Ca Nan 1 and Ca Nan 2 Hydropower Plant (in Nghe An province); Nam Lum 1 and Nam Lum 2 Hydropower Plant, or Nam Xe Hydropower Plant (in Lai Chau province). Furthermore, SCI has also invested in building Huong Linh 8 Wind Farm, which has now been put into operation in Quang Tri province.
To get these initial achievements, it is impossible not to mention the dedication of all employees in SCI Group are working with high teamwork as well as in dynamism and responsible spirit. The Board of Directors (BOD) of SCI always believes that the most valuable foundation associated with the success of SCI is the efforts of each employee. Therefore, SCI always focuses on ensuring the best welfare for employees and fostering passion and creativity in each of them.
Entering the digital technology era, SCI has made innovations in business administration technology and technique advancements as well as ensured high-quality human resources and strong financial resources to meet the changeable and strict requirements of the construction market. Due to this potentiality, SCI is highly evaluated and enthusiastically supported by partners in approaching construction works. Mr. Ho Hoang Tien, Deputy Director of Huong Phung Wind Power Company Limited, the Employer of Huong Phung 2 and Huong Phung 3 Wind Farm Project said: "We have evaluated many companies and found that SCI E&C shall be a very reliable contractor for the construction of our wind farm projects. Huong Phung Wind Power Company has selected SCI E&C as the EPC Contractor for Huong Phung 2 and Huong Phung 3 Wind Farms with the total capital of 2,200 billion VND in Quang Tri province. Now that both Wind Farms have been put into operation, we would like to verify that SCI E&C has performed very well their works from engineering, construction, installation, as well as timeline assurance".
Besides business activities, SCI Group always devotes our resources and gives priority to take part in charity programs. As a team member participating enthusiamly in blood donation campaigns, Mr. Duong Thanh Trung - Secretary of SCI’s Youth Union has confided, that he is very proud to participate in many blood donation programs with other members of SCI. Not only participating in voluntary blood donation, but SCI has also implemented many support programs such as building multi-purpose classrooms to assist the students at Lao Bao primary school No. 2 (Huong Hoa, Quang Tri); giving gifts to people in Ban Lang villages (Phong Tho, Lai Chau) or sponsoring essential daily necessities for children in Chieu Luu (Ky Son, Nghe An) and many other meaningful activities. We believe that social responsibility will bring positive and sustainable changes to the community, contributing to the overall development of the country.
Inheriting the achieved results, in this 20th year, SCI will still pursue the goal of building sustainable values of human and finance for investment in renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
