With 14 teams and over 500 engineers and workers, the project management board affirmed to complete the goal of "90-day and night campaign to reaching the 536m Elevation at the main dam of Nam Sam 3 Hydropower project".
The phase 1 of the campaign was launched from the 1st April to May 15th 2022 with the goal to complete elevation from 521m - 528.5m of the dam with a total volume of RCC concrete of 74,000 m3.
The phase 2 of the campaign was launched from 16th May to 30th June, 2022 with the goal to complete 528.5m - 536m height with a total volume of RCC concrete of 90,000 m3.
As the person directing the construction progress at the Main Dam, the engineer Nguyen Cong Son said: "This is a campaign to motivate the brothers to complete the construction schedule. The employees at the site are very excited and eagerly prepare for attendance. Early July weather in Houaphan – Laos will start the rainy season; it is difficult for pouring concrete for the Main Dam at the current elevation. We are committed to complete the schedule and ensure absolute safety for people and the equipment”.
Nam Sam 3 Hydropower Project is considered an important project by SCI E&C to be accelerated in 2022. So, the Company has prepared maximum human resources with the addition of many engineers and hydroelectric experts with sufficient cement, iron and steel materials on the site to complete the project as committed.
