In the afternoon of April 27, 2018, SCI E & C Joint Stock Company (HNX: SCI) held the General Meeting of Shareholders 2018 to approve the annual business plan and other contents.

2017 is considered as the year with many highlights of SCI E&C when the total production value of the company reached more than 1,000 billion for the first time. As reported by the Board of Directors, the company has expanded its business into many fields and the implementation of many big projects that helped SCI E&C to achieve total production value in 2017 at 1.039 billion VND that constitutes 112% of the planned target; total profit in 2017 at 19.2 billion VND, that constitutes 106.6% of the planned target; and last but not least, paying 10% of profit as dividend by shares.
SCI shalll participate in several projects in Southeast Asia in coming years
In 2018, SCI E&C sets a goal of reaching 1,150 billion VND for total production value increased 111% comparing to last year, 1,258 billion VND for revenue increased 132% comparing to last year, 25 billion VND for profit with same dividend sharing rate of 8%. The Board of Management of the company determines to focus on projects which are under progress and inquires high technical requirements or big scale such as RCC placement at Nam Theun 1 Hydropower Project - Lao PDR, water intake and coal storage’s foundation at Long Phu 1 Thermal Power Plant, installation of equipments and power generation at Ca Nan 2 Hydropower Plants, etc. in order to verify our status and brand name in the business section of construction in the roles of General Contractor, EPC General Contractor.

In 2018, SCI E&C will continue to focus on major projects including Bac Giang MDF wooden board production factory; Gelex Ninh Thuan Solar Power Project 50MWp; Nam Lum 1, 2 Hydropower Projects; Long Phu 1 Thermal Power Plant; Nam Theun 1 Hydropower Project; Ca Nan 1, 2 Hydropower Plants. In addition, SCI E&C continues to speed up searching for new projects both in local and overseas, especially in Laos and in the meantime, to step by step prepare to participate in the implementation of projects in Cambodia and other Southeast Asia countries.
