Held from July 29th 2017, SCI Open Championship 2017 with 4 attended teams have, played in the form of draw and knockout. The weather was so hot but thanks to the enthusiastic cheering of the fans in yard, the players had tried their best to play. In the eliminative round, FC BIDV Ha Tay won FC SCI with score 1-0; Phu Dong Veteran team won FC IB Securities with score 4-0. In the final round, Phu Dong Veteran team met FC BIDV. FC IB Securities met FC SCI in the third prize battle.
Here are the results: Phu Dong Veteran won the first place, the second place is belong to FC BIDV Ha Tay, FC IB Securities won the the third prize and FC SCI won the style award. Striker Hoang Son Tung of Phu Dong Veteran won the league’s Top Scorer title with 4 goals.
After the league, captain of Phu Dong Veteran said: 'We have been well prepared from last month to attend the SCI Open Championship. My teammates played very well so we won with score 4-0 in both eliminative and final rounds. This is so amazing. Thank all Phu Dong Veteran members! Thank SCI for organizing this Championship!'.
In closing statement, Mr. Luong Thanh Tung, Chairman of Organizing Committee said: 'SCI Company is very happy when the partner’s team participated enthusiastically. We expect that SCI Open Championship will be annual tournament that helps to tighten the relationship between SCI and partners'.
SCI Open Championship is expected to be held annually in the coming years.
