From the period of 4th to 6th January 2023, a delegation of experts of SCI PMC has visited Nam Sam 3 Hydropower Project (Laos) to review and inspect the construction works at the site and evaluate the progress and quality during the beginning days of new year.
The delegation includes SCI PMC’s leaders, LJHC’s French experts specialized in dam works, and other independent experts hired by SCI PMC. During the inspection of the main RCC Dam, LJHC’s French experts praised SCI’s technique and construction quality, as well as SCI PMC's engineering solutions that meet the project's topographical and geological conditions.
Furthermore, the delegation has assessed the powerhouse’s concrete construction; the excavation and slope protection for tunnel and surge tower; the steel penstock manufacturing work and the additional geological investigation have been also conducted at the main dam area.
With the close monitoring and management for each work item from the engineering to the construction together with the Employer's support, Nam Sam 3 hydropower project is expected to meet the targeted progress and brought into operation on time.
The experts praised the construction quality of the main RCC dam.
The delegation has inspected the excavation and reinforcement of the headrace tunnel.
35% of the expandable excavation work of the surge tower has been completed.
The leaders of SCI PMC and LJHC’s French experts have evaluated the engineering of work items.
