Nam Xe Hydropower Project is one of three hydropower projects invested and constructed by SCI Group in Phong Tho district, Lai Chau province. Currently, the project is focusing on expediting the work progress according to the set plan. In which, the excavation of sub-tunnel 1 with a length of 368m under the waterway of the Nam Xe Hydropower Project has completed. The engineers and workers of SCI Group are actively constructing the water tunnel with a total length of 5,512m in three directions and have achieved around 20% of the volume. This is one of the important and complicated items of the project, so it requires the accuracy and high level of tunnelling of SCI Group's workers.
Simultaneously, SCI Group also focused on implementing the construction of the Factory, right abutment, main dam, etc. to ensure the overall progress of the entire project.
Mr. Pham Son Tung, Vice President of the project said “In addition to offering the optimal solutions to expedite the project progress, we are constantly checking and presenting 24/7 at the construction site ensure completion of the single item on schedule and obtaining of the highest quality as designed.
In the last days of October, under the cold weather of the mountains and forests of Phong Tho district, hundreds of engineers and workers of SCI Group are working hard with soil, stone, iron and steel, taking advantage of the dry weather to complete the project main items. All strive for the future electricity flow.
With SCI Group engineers and workers’ efforts on the construction site, it is expected that, Nam Xe Hydropower Plant will officially COD and connect to the national power grid in the second quarter of 2023. Every year, this project will produce an average annual electricity output of 78.96 million kWh/year.
