On 9th September 2019, a contract signing ceremony was conducted at Vientiane, Laos by and between SCI E&C JSC and the Nam Sam 3 Power Co., Ltd, an affiliate of Phongsubthavy Group that ranked the second in Laos, for the EPC Contract (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) of the 156 Nam Sam 3 Hydropower project.
The ceremony is attended, from the Phongsubthavy Group, by Mr. Phongsavath Senaphuan – the President Phongsubthavy Group cum Managing Director of the Nam Sam 3 Power Co., Ltd and Mr. Somratn Saengsavas Managing Director of Phongsubthavy Group. From SCI, the representatives are inclusive of Mr. Nguyen Cong Hung - Chairman of the Board of Directors and Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc - General Director.
On behalf of the EPC Contractor, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc - General Director expressed his gratefulness to Nam Sam 3 Power Co., Ltd. in particular and Phongsubthavy Group in general, especially Mr. Phongsavath Senaphuan himself for entrusting the SCI Company to execute the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contract for Nam Sam 3 Hydropower Project. He simultaneously affirmed and committed to complete the Project on schedule and ensure the project quality.
On behalf of the Investor, the Chairman Phongsavath Senaphuan expressed his confidence of SCI Joint Stock Company’s capacity and experience and committed to support the EPC Contractor during the project execution to get the overall target of the successful implementation of the Project and looked forward to expanding the mutual further cooperation in the subsequent projects.
This Contract signing ceremony has proved that SCI Group has been gradually affirming its solid steps and demonstrating its capacity in the eyes of the domestic and international investors in execution of renewable energy projects as the role of EPC Contractor.

Nam Sam 3 Hydropower Plant has a total capacity of 156MW located in Xam Tai District, Houaphan Province, Laos, invested by Nam Sam 3 Power Co., Ltd. – an affiliate of Phongsubthavy Group with a total investment of over 300 million US Dollars
The project was started in October 2019 and is expected to energize and connect to the grid by June 2023, which will be connected to Vietnam's electricity system at the 220 kV Nong Cong Station (Thanh Hoa) in accordance with the plan approved by the Prime Minister.
