Every year around the world, millions of people volunteer to donate blood, contributing to bringing invaluable life to sick people. To acknowledge and express gratitude for that noble gesture, since 2005, the World Health Organization has chosen June 14 as World Blood Donor Day.
On the morning of June 15, 2024 at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, the employees of SCI Joint Stock Company participated in donating blood in response to World Blood Donor Day. Even though they are busy with work, everyone takes the time to prepare for their best health to participate in the blood donation event with enthusiasm, wanting to join hands for the community.
Mr. Pham Xuan Thong, Head of Project Management Department - SCI E&C Joint Stock Company shared: "I feel happy and proud to have contributed a small part to saving the lives of others. The blood donation process is very quick and painless. I will definitely continue to participate in future events”.
Through the blood donation, the Company's employees contributed 21 valuable blood units to the blood bank, contributing to solving the blood scarcity situation, helping patients overcome difficulties and return to a healthy life.
Donating blood not only does not affect your health, but also helps increase the formation of new and better quality blood, reduces iron overload, and reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease, stroke and cancer. The amount of donated blood will be quickly regenerated by the body to serve the circulatory process.
SCI Group will continue to participate in similar meaningful humanitarian activities in the future and actively spread this noble gesture to the community.
