SCI E&C Joint Stock Company, a subsidiary of SCI Group, has recently entered into a Contract for the package “Remedial Measures on the Right Abutment of the Main Dam of Nam Ngiep 1 Hydropower Project” with the Employer as Nam Nghiep 1 Power Company (NNP1PC) under Japan’s Kansai Electric Power Company and EGAT International.
SCI E&C, with its construction capability and prestige demonstrated via plenty of domestic and international renewable energy projects, has been entrusted by NNP1PC to implement this package.
Right after the Contract was signed, SCI E&C mobilized sufficient manpower sources, equipment, and vehicles to the site. After one month of execution, all auxiliary works have been completed including camp, workshops, power supply system, lighting system, access & service roads, quarry stripping, etc., and others to ensure the main works are in progress at the site. The excavation and hauling to clear the landslide area at the right abutment were conducted quickly, then the subsequent items including the gabion arrangement for slope base protection, rock embankment from ela.185 to ela.217, drainage ditching, grass cultivation on the slope, etc. as well as other items are able to be performed to achieve the committed progress and quality.
It is expected that SCI E&C will complete and hand over this package for NNP1PC in Quarter II/2025.
