In the year of 2018, SCI shall speed up bidding for many big projects while actively invest in the construction of hydropower projects which the company has applied for licenses, surveyed in recent years to achieve the sales goal as expected.
On June 29th 2018, SCI Joint Stock Company holds the Annual Shareholders Meeting in the company’s head office. According to figures from organizers, despite of the hot weather in Ha Noi, more than 80% of shareholders in many provinces had attended the Meeting this year.
As reported by Mr. Luong Thanh Tung – General Director, the outstanding efforts in construction, investment, project consultancy in 2017 helped SCI create good reputation in Vietnam’s construction market, especially in the sections of hydropower, thermal power, infrastructure. In 2017, SCI's consolidated turnover was 1,050 billion VND, in 2018, The Board of Management has sets a goal of achieving about 1,377 billion VND, increases 327 billion VND comparing to last year.
The congress was attended by a lot of shareholders
Many shareholders wondered whether the growth plan could be achieved. Mr. Luong Thanh Tung - General Director said that in 2018, SCI’s turnver will increase because this is the pivotal year of innovation and development of SCI and it shall be accompanied with positive changes in the management of SCI’s subsidiaries.
In particularly, SCI attaches special important to the human factor, therefore we will recruit more qualified, experienced staffs to ensure the qualification of human resources to serve new projects that SCI won the bid or perform in role of Employer. Along with the recruitment of qualified staffs, SCI shall develop suitable and effective training programs in order to concentrate into creating most motivational policies for employees, improve employees’ behavior toward positive and active in work.
In addition, SCI will enhance its bidding capacity so as to meet the requirement of each specific project as well as market trends. We will also catch the real market context in conjunction with strategic partners to participate in many big energy and infrastructure projects as the joint venture. As a fact, there are a lot of investors, big local and foreign main contractors are working with SCI to negotiate new contracts.
Currently, along with the completion of the Ca Nan 1,2 Hydropower Plant Project and construction items under Long Phu 1 thermal power project, Nam Theun hydropower project, SCI will build up plans, targets for each one and at the same time to regularly update and adjust its plan to ensure the achievement of targets, as well as increase controllability, unity of management in each level.

In addition to the improvement of employee’s qualification, focus on bidding resources and maximize internal resources to get chances for construction of big projects, SCI will also research to apply advanced technology in construction science in order to turn into a company that not only has high-qualified human resources but also get a modern technology company. Therefore, Mr. Luong Thanh Tung – General Director said that with the efforts of the Board of Management and employees, SCI's said goal of achieving turnover at 1.377 billion VND in 2018 is feasable.
