An EPC Contract signing ceremony between the Investor - Huong Phung Wind Power Company Limited and the EPC Joint venture of SCI E&C Joint Stock Company (SCI E&C) and SCI Consulting Joint Stock Company (SCI PMC) was taken place on December 25, 2019 at the headquarter of Vietnam Electrical Equipment Joint Stock Corporation (Gelex) for the Huong Phung 2 Wind Power Plant Project (Capacity of 20MW) and Huong Phung 3 (Capacity of 30MW) in Huong Phung Commune, Huong Hoa District, Quang Tri province.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan – Chairman of the Gelex Board of Directors cum CEO, Mr. Vo Anh Linh - Member of the Gelex Management Board; Mr. Luong Thanh Tung - General Director of Gelex Energy Company Limited; Mr. Le Van Thang - Director of Wind Power Co.,Ltd as the Investor’s representatives. From the EPC Contractor, it was attended by Mr. Nguyen Cong Hung - Chairman of SCI Group Board of Directors, Mr. Nguyen Chinh Dai - Director of SCI E&C JSC, Mr. Vu Hung - Director of SCI PMC and the representatives of related parties attended the signing contract ceremony.
Having reviewed the international and local Contractors on their capacity and experience, the Investor - Huong Phung Wind Power Co., Ltd. decided to select the Joint Venture of SCI E&C Joint Stock Company (SCI E&C) and SCI Consulting Joint Stock Company (SCI PMC) for execution of this Engineering – Procurement – Construction (EPC) Contract. SCI PMC is in charge of the Engineering and SCI E&C is responsible for the procurement, installation and construction.
The power from Huong Phung 2 and Huong Phung 3 wind power projects is generated by means of the wind turbines, connected to the grid and provided for the national electric system. With a capacity of 50MW, the proposed project scale consists of 15 wind turbine foundation piers. The expected capacity of each turbine is 3.33MW together with the electrical and control equipment system, the 22/11KV transformer station, the 110KV dual circuit transmission line, 22KV overhead line for internal connection of the turbines. The total land used for the two projects is approximately 32.5 ha and the total investment capital is around VND 2,315 billion. The expected time for operation is in the second quarter of 2021.
On behalf of the EPC Contractor, Mr. Nguyen Cong Hung - Chairman of the SCI Group Board of Directores expressed his thanks to the Huong Phung Wind Power Company Limited in particular and the Vietnam Electrical Equipment Joint Stock Corporation (Gelex) in general for their trust in assigning such Engineering – Producrement – Construction (EPC) Contract for the Joint Venture of SCI E&C and SCI PMC (SCI Group’s affiliate) to execute the Huong Phung 2 and Huong Phung 3 Wind Power Plant Projects; at the same time, he affirmed and committed to complete the Project onschedule with the ensured efficiency and quality.
Delivering speech on behalf of the Investor, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan - Chairman of Board of Directors cum General Director from GELEX expressed his confidence in the SCI Group’s capacity and experience and committed to maximize his support for the EPC Contractor during the project implementation in a target to successfully execute the Project and expect to expand the mutual cooperation in further projects With a team of experts, engineers, supervisors and highly qualified workers and many years of experience in the role of EPC Contractor, the Joint Venture of SCI E&C and SCI PMC will provide the Investor the product of best quality and efficiency with the safety quality and schedule assurance With such Contract signing, SCI Group affirms its solid steps and demonstrates its capacity to the domestic and international investors in the field of renewable energy as the EPC Contractor.
