In early July 2019, the delegation of SCI JSC employees led by Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc - SCI Group's General Director and more than 40 staff paid a visit to Gelex Ninh Thuan solar power farm EPC by SCI. E&C.
During this visit, the delegation was reported by Mr. Pham Xuan Duong - Director of the Project Management Board from the EPC - SCI E&C JSC on the project progress and the site operation in the past few months "During the construction period, the site faced many difficulties because the work performed under the continuously hot weather conditions in the dry season with the temperature up to 40 degrees. In the rainy season, the site foundation often is subsided due to its structure mainly made of sand; therefore, there occurred frequent subsidence upon heavy rain. However, in virtue of SCIsers’ strong will and determination, all of the site staff had overtime and improved the method statement to overcome the weather disadvantages in order to ensure the progress committed to the Owner. As of present, the national grid connection has been completed and the pending issues in the final stage before the official handover to the Owner have been also positively carrying out by the staff." - Mr. Duong said
On behalf of the Company’s leaders, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc showed his sympathy with the difficulties encountered by the site staff during the last few months and encouraged them to keep further efforts to finalize the pending points. He hoped that the finishing work shall be properly executed with safety assurance and on schedule set out thanks to the experience and solidarity of the collective leadership, the team of engineers & workers in order for the Employer’s take over.
