On July 29, 2019, at BIDV Ha Tay Branch, the funding signing ceremony for Nam Lum 2 hydropower project between BIDV Ha Tay Branch and Lai Chau SCI Joint Stock Company, a member of SCI Group was organized.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Trinh Minh Tam - Director of BIDV Bank, Ha Tay branch, his branch leadership, the heads and deputy heads of the Branch. Under this contract, BIDV Ha Tay committed to grant Lai Chau SCI Joint Stock Company a loan of VND 440 billion including L/C issuance and payment guarantee equivalent to 70% of the total investment cost of the project.

Nam Lum 2 Hydropower Project is invested by Lai Chau SCI Joint Stock Company and EPC by SCI E&C Joint Stock Company. The project was approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade at the Decision 4288 / QD-BCT dated November 14, 2018 and approved by the People's Committee of Lai Chau Province at the Document No. 1709 / QD-UBND dated December 28, 2018. Nam Lum 2 hydropower project is under the grade III industrial projects. The plant has a total capacity of 18 MW with the annual average power output of about 69.44 million kWh built on a total area of 37.76 ha in Ban Lang commune and Dao San commune, Phong Tho District, Lai Chau Province. It is expected that Nam Lum 2 hydropower plant will be COD in the second quarter of 2021.
